I met with Keith at the Hollywood Theatre yesterday to run through the films with the theater’s tech staff. With only minor modifications needed to the sound board for a couple of the films, the collection looked and sounded incredible projected on the enormous screen in the darkened, empty theater. I stood completely transfixed when it came time to review my own film, a revelry and wonder swept over me unlike anything I’ve ever felt before. It was powerful. As distinct and compelling as the feeling was in that moment, it will no doubt be dwarfed in comparison to the experience on the night of the premiere next month, watching the film collection – and my own work – displayed before an audience for the first time.
It’s going to be magical.
